the month of June 2008 at New Delhi, India. The site targets global
technology consumers - particularly in the emerging markets. It covers
enterprise as well as personal technology trends including news, views, and
the burning issues that have immediate impact on businesses and common
people.
The
site and the firm (My Media Network
) are being run by Rakesh
Raman who has nearly 20 years of
editorial and
content management experience and has worked as a
senior tech journalist, analyst, and columnist with different newspapers and
magazines in India. He was the Group Technology Editor for the
A&M Group of
business magazines (including A&M on Advertising & Marketing
and Global on international trade). Plus, he has worked at senior
editorial positions with Dataquest (a
computer business magazine of Cyber Media Group) and
Computers Today (India Today Group magazine), besides
contributing technology-business articles and columns regularly to
The
Tribune, The Indian Express, and The Financial Express newspapers.
In 1995,
Rakesh
was conferred the
National-level government-instituted award for
his
contribution in the field of
technology
journalism, which has been a unique distinction in the country. The award
was presented to
him
at the Republic Day function.
After
doing his M.Sc. and Computer
Science orientation from Panjab University, Chandigarh, he
worked as a software developer for about seven years (1985-1991) with a
couple of leading technology companies at Mohali, Chandigarh (India).
