The German software publisher Data Becker has released an English version of its content management system, which allows you to create websites. You need not know the programming and graphic design techniques. The website-creation solution "Web To Date 5.0" will do it for you. And you can download it. 

The company says that Web To Date 5.0 is based on a modular conception. Users can choose from over 700 ready-to-use designs and definable colour patterns. They can then assemble all necessary elements by drag and drop in a few steps.  

Thus, they do not need specific knowledge of HTML, PHP, or the like. The website creation is made possible by an intelligent assistant system which guides even inexperienced users through the complete process, says the company.  

What’s more? It’s Web 2.0-orientated. Besides the basic tools such as side bars, navigation points, categories and main and subpages, the programme offers modules for content, pictures, tables, FAQ sections, galleries, chat rooms or podcasts.  

Each module can then be filled in with custom text paragraphs and images including company logos. You can also incorporate user-friendly surveys and contact forms. Moreover, media such as Flash, Real Media and Quicktime can be added. A filesharing module will allow users to swap files with friends and business partners.

Once created, the website can be easily administered and maintained, says the company. With just a few mouse clicks, the user can add, delete or replace content. If required, even the overall theme can be changed with a single mouse click. Automatically generated backups are also possible.  

The company informs that content generated with Web To Date 5.0 is optimised for mobile websites for all common PDAs, handhelds, and mobile phones.  

The programme is available as a download file on http://www.webtodate.co.uk – either as full version (178.95 EUR), or as a time-limited trial version that allows users to test Web to Date 5.0 for ten days.
