Cortado Creates New Role for BlackBerry

With a new version of its enterprise application Cortado Corporate Server, the mobile office solutions company, Cortado, offers BlackBerry smartphone users and BlackBerry Enterprise Server customers the ability to manage files on a corporate network, print documents, and send faxes.

The new version’s features include "Scan & Copy," "PDF Creator," and "Instant Database Access" functions and re-engineered mobile print technology. A free trial of the new version is available at: www.cortado.com/enterprise.

The new function "Scan & Copy" turns a BlackBerry smartphone's camera into a mobile scanner. It lets users scan documents and print them with a Bluetooth or network printer, fax them, or simultaneously save them on the corporate network, ensuring that important information is backed up.

Cortado Corporate Server 4.0 includes the PDF creator for smartphones enabling users to create and send write-protected PDF files directly from a BlackBerry smartphone. Another option is the ability to retrieve reports from almost any database; the user can initiate, print, fax, or send reports by e-mail. 

Cortado Corporate Server 4.0 is available for euro 1630 or $1995. The price covers 10 users and includes 12 months of update service and support.
