NAVTEQ Traffic for Microsoft Windows Live FrameIt
NAVTEQ, which provides digital map data for location-based solutions and
vehicle navigation, has introduced NAVTEQ Traffic real-time traffic
information with Microsoft Windows Live FrameIt. It aims to help drivers
by giving them live traffic details on their devices.
Windows
Live FrameIt is a service that allows users to dynamically deliver
photos and content such as traffic, news, and weather directly to
wireless digital picture frames. Visitors to http://frameit.live.com/
can now select streaming real-time traffic maps to be delivered to their
FrameIt RSS-enabled devices and wireless digital picture frames.
"NAVTEQ
has worked closely with Microsoft for many years to support the
development of innovative consumer products, and the traffic launch with
Microsoft Windows Live FrameIt is emblematic of this strong relationship
between our companies," said Jeff Mize, executive vice president, NAVTEQ.
"FrameIt is yet another creative extension of our NAVTEQ Maps and
Traffic services beyond Windows Live Local, MSN Auto, and MSN Direct."
With
FrameIt devices, morning commutes, road trips and errands are made
easier when drivers can see exactly where delays are occurring before
hitting the road. NAVTEQ Traffic will enhance the personal organization
features offered by FrameIt's custom picture collections with the
ability to choose a specific traffic market and schedule the day of the
week and time of day for real-time traffic information display.
According to NAVTEQ, streaming color-coded traffic flow for cities
across the U.S. and in Canada helps FrameIt users avoid traffic
congestion, construction, road closings and other traffic obstacles.
