Nokia Connection with E72, 5530 XpressMusic, 3710 fold

As Nokia has been consistently dumping more mobile models in the market, at the Nokia Connection event held in Singapore today (June 15), the company announced a number of devices.

Recently, the company rolled out its Nokia Life Tools solution in India. It said the solution will be available on the newly launched Nokia 2323 classic and Nokia 2330 classic devices, and will be later expanded to other Nokia devices. (Read: Nokia Provides Life Tools in India)

At today's event, it unveiled the Nokia E72, its latest full QWERTY smartphone, which offers mobile email and instant messaging experience. Users will be able to set up instant messaging (IM) accounts provided by Nokia Messaging direct from the homescreen. They will also be able to connect to IM accounts such as Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, Ovi, etc. The Nokia E72 is expected to begin shipping late in the third quarter of 2009.

Last month, Nokia revealed that its Ovi Store is available globally to an estimated 50 million Nokia device owners. It covers over 50 Nokia devices including the forthcoming device, N97. Users can download games, videos, podcasts, productivity tools, web and location-based services. (Read: Ovi Store: It’s Open Now)

Nokia also announced the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, a compact XpressMusic device that uses a touch interface for accessing people and content. The 'scrolling' Contacts Bar provides direct access to 20 people and their latest conversations and media updates. The homescreen also features one touch shortcuts to content and popular social networks, like Facebook and MySpace. It’s expected to begin shipping in the third quarter of 2009.

And it introduced Nokia 3710 fold. Together with the range of Ovi services, Nokia brings mobile Internet experiences with the device. The Nokia 3710 fold is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2009.
