Verizon Wireless will Push to Talk

The new Verizon Wireless CDM8975 phone is developed by Personal Communications Devices, LLC. It joins Verizon Wireless' line-up of push-to-talk handsets that provides users with two-way communication option. It will be available online and in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores beginning March 9.

The new device will provide users with access to Verizon Wireless' Push to Talk service that leverages the company's Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) Revision A (Rev. A) network.

It’ll also support VZ Navigator with access to audible turn-by-turn maps, directions, and data points that can help business users locate their offsite meeting locations and share their maps with colleagues.

The Web-enabled phone supports Bluetooth technology, a 1.3 megapixel digital camera with video recording capabilities, voice commands, voice activated dialing, and a stereo speaker. Users can also use Verizon Wireless' V CAST Music with Rhapsody and V CAST Video services.

The phone will be available for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a new two-year customer agreement. Verizon Wireless customers can add unlimited Push to Talk for $5 per month, per line to any voice plan.
