Motorola Stature i9: Thin is In
SouthernLINC Wireless, a Southern Company, has added the new Motorola
Stature i9 phone to its product portfolio. At 15 millimeters (0.60
inches) thick, it’s claimed to be the slimmest Integrated Digital
Enhanced Network (iDEN) flip phone.
Earlier
this month, Motorola had announced
MOTO W7 Active Edition. It's a
motion-enabled 3G mobile device. The phone is equipped with an
accelerometer that senses your body's motions, orientation, and hand
gestures to perform tasks.
Among
the other recently introduced mobile devices are
Nokia 2730 classic, Nokia 2720 fold, and Nokia
7020.
The
Windows Mobile device,
Samsung Jack, from AT&T and Samsung was
supposed to be available from May 19. It’s a Windows Mobile 6.1
smartphone available exclusively to AT&T customers in the U.S. and works
on 3G network. Its price is $99.99.
T-Mobile USA celebrated the next generation of its Sidekick messaging
device with the national launch of the new
Sidekick LX. It features 3G for fast
Web browsing and enhanced mobile access to social media sites such as
Facebook and
Twitter. The company transformed the
Paramount Studios lot in Hollywood into a virtual T-Mobile metropolis
for the launch event.
The
Stature i9's design features Motorola's ModeShift Morphing technology on
its external screen. The buttonless controls change and illuminate, so
that only those needed for imaging, video or the media player are
displayed.
In
addition, the external screen is touch-sensitive and provides feedback
to user input by means of a gentle vibration. The phone offers a second
color screen inside of the flip, an applications processor, an intuitive
user interface, and multimedia capabilities.
The
phone's multimedia experience includes a 3.1 megapixel camera, stereo
Bluetooth technology, a video recorder and a stereo MP3 player – which
are accessible without flipping open the phone. Users can store up to
eight gigabytes of images, video and music on an optional, removable
memory card.
