NVIDIA 4GB Graphics Card for Visual Computing Apps

Claimed to be the first 4GB graphics card, NVIDIA Quadro FX 5800 with CUDA massively parallel processing architecture will find application in oil & gas exploration, medical imaging, styling and design markets. Price: $3499.

The card will be used to visualize and interpret massive datasets. Offering up to 240 CUDA programmable parallel cores and 4GB of graphics memory, the Quadro FX 5800 graphics card is ideally targeting scientific visualization among other applications.  

The features include: 

  •   Interactive 4D modeling with time lapse capabilities

  •   Memory bandwidth of up to 102 GB per second

  •   Fill rates that exceed 52 billion texels per second and geometry performance of 300 million triangles per second

  •   Support for next-generation OpenGL and Microsoft DirectX 10 applications

  •   Advanced multi-system and multi-device visualization environments with Quadro G-Sync II 

The Quadro FX 5800 GPU, says the company, features true 10-bit color enabling color variations for image quality.  

The Quadro FX 5800 graphics board will come for $3499.
