UFC
2009 Undisputed is an explosive fighting game that will demonstrate the
action, intensity, and attitude of a UFC live event. Players will
explore a deep roster of more than 80 top fighters in UFC competition
across all five weight classes.
Interactive entertainment software publisher THQ and Zuffa, LLC have
announced the UFC 2009 Undisputed playable demo is now available for
free download via Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360, as well as
PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3.
Sony
Computer Entertainment announced that the cumulative number of
registered accounts on
PlayStation Network worldwide has
exceeded 20 million as of Feb. 20. It was launched in Nov. 2006.
In
November last year, Microsoft had released
New Xbox Experience to transform Xbox
360 consoles with software. The move aimed to help home buyers get
games, movies, and TV shows and share them with friends across the globe
through
Xbox LIVE, a community-based service.
The
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is a leading professional mixed
martial arts organization and offers the premier series of MMA sports
events. Owned and operated by Zuffa, LLC, and headquartered in Las
Vegas, UFC produces over twelve live pay-per-view events annually that
are distributed residentially through North American cable and satellite
providers.
In
celebration of UFC 97, held last weekend in Montreal, Quebec, the
playable demo will allow consumers to sample an exhibition bout with
former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell and
Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
The
demo will also include a portion of the game’s Tutorial Mode, which
further educates players about UFC 2009 Undisputed’s gameplay controls,
as well as the sport of mixed martial arts. UFC 2009 Undisputed is
scheduled for release on May 19, 2009 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
