NVIDIA is
offering its Quadro FX 4800 graphics card to Mac Pro users. It promises
significant boost in graphics performance. Target user segments are
architecture, content creation, science, and medicine. It comes with a
price tag of $1,799, and will be available starting May 2009.

India’s
leading tech solutions provider Infosys Technologies’ revenues were $
1,121 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2009 with YoY decline of
1.8%. While its revenues were $ 4,663 million for the year ended March
31, 2009 with YoY growth of 11.7%, it expects its fiscal 2010 revenues
will decline by 6.7% to 3.1%. Results were announced today
(April 15).

Novell has
announced the availability of SUSE Linux Enterprise 11, an operating
system designed for the next-generation data center. Among other
features, the platform contains major enhancements to SUSE Linux
Enterprise Server and SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop.

Rediff.com,
a leading site in India, has added maps feature to LocalAds, a service
for small and local advertisers. Advertisers can use the maps to
pinpoint their location within a locality. This will enable users to
locate advertisers. The maps feature, in beta, currently covers 64
cities and towns in India.

Microsoft
and Gemalto will offer Windows Live Messenger services to mobile
subscribers through a new client application that comes pre-installed on
phone SIM cards. The Gemalto application, named SIMessenger, is said to
be the world's first Microsoft-certified instant messaging SIM client

Sony
Computer Entertainment says the cumulative worldwide sell-in units of
PSP (PlayStation Portable) handheld entertainment system (PSP-1000, 2000
and 3000 series) reached a total of 50 million units as of January 2009.

AMD has
extended the value of its Dragon platform technology with five new
additions to its AMD Phenom II processor family. It includes 45nm
triple-core processors and three new AMD Phenom II quad-core processors.
AMD Dragon targets OEMs, channel partners, and Do-It-Yourself (DIY)
consumers who build their own PCs.

announced the release of EMC Retrospect backup and recovery software for
the Mac. Retrospect 8.0 has been redesigned from the ground up with a
fresh interface, a new engine, and more capabilities. It’s positioned
between Apple's Time Machine and enterprise-level backup applications.
