Chi Bi is Playing in
Malaysia
Perfect
World Co., a leading online game developer and operator in China, has
announced that "Chi Bi" was launched in Malaysia through Cubinet
Interactive, an online game operator in Southeast Asia. "Chi Bi" is a 3D
massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) developed by
Perfect World. It’s based on the Three Kingdoms period in Chinese history.
Since its
launch in early 2008, the game, according to Perfect World, has received
positive feedback in domestic market. Chi Bi's launch in Malaysia made it
the third game from Perfect World launched through Cubinet after "Perfect
World II" and "Legend of Martial Arts."
"We have
been receiving very positive feedback since we launched 'Chi Bi' on August
6, 2008," commented Andy Choe, CEO of Cubinet. "The fact that we and
Perfect World completed the localization work within about two months
after signing the licensing agreement not only demonstrates Perfect
World's extensive experience in localization, but also shows the better
collaboration we were able to accomplish with Perfect World. We believe
'Chi Bi' will be a success in the Southeast Asian market through our joint
efforts."

The game
is designed to include various in-game weapons and large-scale map of the
game environment in a historical cultural setting. The Three Kingdoms
system allows online game players to freely choose any kingdom to join,
whether it is the Kingdom of Wei, Shu, or Wu, players are provided with
full experience of the historical battles of the Three Kingdoms period.
In
addition to the Three Kingdoms system, the game's differentiating features
and content include motion fighting system, reputations system, epic task
system, map exploring system, title system, dungeons system, battlegrounds
system, PVE battlegrounds system, charms socketing system, armory set
system, 18 legendary weapon system, and daily missions.
The
company has co-promoted Chi Bi alongside the movie "Red Cliff," which has
the same Chinese names as Chi Bi, in mainland China.
