Nokia, Zeemote to Control Mobile
Gaming in Germany
Zeemote, a maker of intelligent wireless controllers for mobile
devices, and Nokia have announced a cooperation to offer Zeemote JS1
Controller to consumers in Germany. With a thumbstick and four assignable
trigger buttons, the Zeemote JS1 Controller offers analogue control over
Bluetooth, allowing users to engage with Zeemote-ready mobile games.
Sitting
perfectly in the hand, the Zeemote JS1 Controller complements Nokia's
ambition in mobile gaming - to offer easy-to-use and high quality
experiences wherever, whenever and with whomever you like.
The
agreement sees Nokia advertising the Zeemote JS1 Controller in its German
on and offline media channels. Additionally, the Zeemote JS1 Controller
will be available in special Nokia gaming bundles with selected mobile
devices.
"With the
world's gaming eyes on The Games Convention at Leipzig it was a natural
and perfect venue for us to announce our cooperation with Nokia in
Germany," said Jim Adams, VP of Worldwide Sales at Zeemote. "This and
other announcements we have planned have the potential to extend and
unlock the creativity of game and application development to a new level."
"The
cooperation with Zeemote shows that Nokia is serious about casual gaming -
we invest in hardware and software to bring consumers a whole new mobile
gaming experience," said Sven Morawek, business manager - Games, Services
& Software, GTM, Nokia.
Visitors
to GC - Games Convention 2008 at the Leipzig Exhibition Centre, Leipzig,
Germany, 20th-24th August will be able to get the first hands-on
experience of the new analogue Zeemote JS1 Controller by visiting the
N-Gage Bus or by tracking down one of the mobile N-Gage Gaming Lounges,
which will be roaming the show.
