Playing with the Eagle Eye
DreamWorks
Pictures is allowing you to experience the adventure of the new thriller
"Eagle Eye" with a 10-minute interactive game: Eagle Eye Free Fall. It’s
now online. Free Fall is designed to be an intense plunge into the world
of "Eagle Eye" and allows players to experience what Jerry Shaw character
goes through first hand. Players can replay and share it with their
friends, in a cross-media storytelling format.
In
director DJ Caruso's fast-paced race-against-time-thriller "Eagle Eye"
Jerry Shaw (Shia LaBeouf) and Rachel Holloman (Michelle Monaghan) are two
strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call from a woman they
have never met.
Threatening their lives and family, the woman pushes Jerry and Rachel into
a series of increasingly dangerous situations, using the technology of
everyday life to track and control their every move.
As the
situation escalates, these two ordinary people become the country's most
wanted fugitives, who must work together to discover what is really
happening, and more importantly, why.
The game
is developed in a way that all this doesn't just happen to Jerry Shaw. It
happens to you. So, you can sign up online to kick off a free alternate
reality game. You will be contacted by characters from the world of Eagle
Eye and become a part of the movie, says DreamWorks.
As soon
as you sign up, your cell phone will ring. The woman on the other end
you’re your computer to hack through security systems, your email to send
possibly treasonous instructions, and your phone to make sure that if you
make one false move, the police will be coming for you. You may visit

"Eagle
Eye Free Fall is a great companion to the movie," says "Eagle Eye"
director, D.J. Caruso. "It latches on to that same sense of paranoia that
permeates the film."
"Eagle
Eye Free Fall is a cutting edge Alternate Reality Game that gives people
the opportunity to use their personal mobile devices to bring them into
the world of 'Eagle Eye' and relive the experience of the movie," said Amy
Powell, senior VP, Interactive Marketing, Paramount Pictures.
The U.S.
release date for "Eagle Eye" was September 26.
