The Software & Information
Industry Association (SIIA), a trade association for the software and
digital information industries, has announced its third annual Global
Information Industry Summit. It’ll take place in London on September 9-11.
User-generated content in the Web 2.0 era and issues in the emerging
markets will be among the discussion topics. Executives from BBC, The
Guardian, and Agency France Presse are scheduled to deliver keynote
address at the third annual event.
The Summit will address
issues, including the copyright challenges of user-generated content, the
emerging content markets in India, China, and Eastern Europe, developing
digital brand identity, and how publishers are adapting their products as
the Google Generation enters the workforce.
The conference will feature
panel discussions and presentations by industry experts to help executives
handle changes affecting content, content technology, software, and social
media companies.

Industry Summit will give anyone interested in the information industry
the chance to explore trends and opportunities that are shaping the
digital information market," noted Ed Keating, VP for SIIA's Content
Division.
SIIA says it provides

education, and intellectual property protection to more than 550 software
and information companies.
