Gaming Marketplace
Forum
The
Asia/Pacific Gaming Marketplace Forum will take place on September 17 in
Singapore. The Forum is sponsored by LMI Asia and supported by Infocomm
Development Authority of Singapore. At the Forum, IDC will present
findings from the "Web 2.0 Gaming Marketplace Survey" and share its views
on trends and opportunities in the gaming landscape in Asia/Pacific.
The Forum
will also feature a special Panel Discussion, chaired by IDC, with select
young gamers from the region who will provide insights to the behavior and
cultural preferences of this young age group and of their respective
countries.
According
to IDC, The Asia/Pacific Gaming Marketplace Forum is intended to help
understand what makes Generation Y "tick" and why Web 2.0 and online
gaming universes are so important to how this generation defines itself.
The Forum will also be an opportunity to be up-close with select keynote
speakers for an interactive discussion.
The Forum
is a pre-cursor to the Games Convention Asia 2008 (GCA), organized by
Leipziger Messe International (LMI) GmbH, which takes place in Singapore
from September 18-20.
GCA is a
platform for the interactive digital entertainment industry in
Asia/Pacific. This platform aims to provide an opportunity for European
and American companies to understand and explore Asia as a potential
region to expand their business.
